recording-proof-sheet-i
Recording Proof Sheet (I)

A gallery-quality art print of a six-frame contact sheet from a recording session, shirt sleeves and a loosened tie, printed with the film edge and frame numbers left in. A contact sheet is the photographer's working document rather than the public one, and that is most of the appeal. Nothing here is the chosen frame. Elvis sings, turns away, laughs, puts a hand to his chin and waits, and the sequence runs across the sheet in the order the shutter fired. The tie, the white shirt and the bare studio wall place this in the early years, when sessions ran late and takes were cut live in the room. Six near-identical moments, and the small differences between them are the picture.

Issued as a limited edition, officially licensed, digitally numbered and signed. Four sizes run from Small (11.7 x 16.5") to XL (30 x 40"), each available unframed or framed in black, white or natural, with framing charged as an extra.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0921/0239/4188/files/black-frame_4ee5eff3-49b1-4092-b17d-29fcaac6d5f8.png?v=1792421508
